EBM+
SM©
is a web-based application service that
enables the user to access a database specifically
designed to service the needs of decision-making in
the utilization management industry. Core data was
collected from a current database from a utilization
management corporation. Additional reference
material was then added from diverse sources to
provide a comprehensive and growing database of
utilization management focused materials. The
dynamic database is continually adapting itself to
the changes in UM topics as they arise. Web links to
original sources of literature facilitates the
user’s ability to access many diverse reference
sites quickly and efficiently from within one
database. EBM+
SM©
is a state-of-the-art method for quickly
finding appropriate evidence based literature for
making utilization management determinations. Our
research has shown that users need one-stop
reference sources to support logical decision making
related to standards of practice. EBM+©sm
has been designed by UM professionals with input
from thousands of reviewing physicians to do just
that!
State
mandates and legal precedents are increasingly
demanding utilization management determinations
identify the sources of information upon which
healthcare determinations are based. EBM+©sm
makes it easy for users to find and access
references that have been cited in support of
utilization management determinations. EBM+©sm
provides users with access to a unique
proprietary and pre-screened database of reference
material applicable to the Utilization Management
Industry.
